Getting started
You have 2 choices with firmware…M3real firmware, or M3 sakura. Try them both, see which one you like the most!
M3 Real
- Download the latest system software here or here
- unzip, and drag the entire ‘System’ folder into the root of the micro sd card (the folder, not the folder contents)
- make a folder on the root called ‘NDS’
- Drag the ROMs in that NDS folder
- Micro sd into the m3, m3 into the DS – thats all!
M3 Sakura
- Download the firmware form linfox domain here
- unzip, and drag the entire ‘System’ folder into the root of the micro sd card (the folder, not the folder contents)
- Drag your ROMs anywhere you want!
- Micro sd into the m3, m3 into the DS – thats all!

Adding ROM’s to your M3Real
- To get roms working, create a folder called ‘NDS’ on your M3 in the root directory.
- Drag the ROMs you want into that folder.
- The files should be in ‘.nds’ format.
- Stick the M3Real in your DS, and thats it!
M3DS Real Software
M3DS Real downloads website – You can download the latest files from M3′s official website.
The M3/G6 Team have released a new kernel (loader, menu system, bios, firmware, etc…) for their line of M3DS Real and G6DS Real Nintendo DS entertainment, development and backup units.
Be sure to update to the latest M3 Real software, by downloading the System files (currently V3.0 E17 (22-02-2008)), then copy the system directory to the root of the M3DS Real.
